Please be advised that we will be performing scheduled network maintenance on Friday, October 23rd. This update specifically impacts BGP routing sessions and Layer 2 (L2) transport services as we upgrade our core network with new Arista equipment for higher performance and especially redundancy. What to Expect: - BGP Session Interruptions & Reconvergence: Active BGP sessions will flap or drop during the maintenance window. While total physical downtime is expected to not exceed 60 minutes (estimated less), please allow additional time for full BGP route propagation and table reconvergence across upstream providers once links are restored. - Layer 2 (L2) Circuit Impact: All L2 transport links, point-to-point circuits, and VLAN passages will experience temporary traffic interruptions during the 60-minute maintenance window between 22:00 and 02:00 CEST. - Redundant Setup Recommendation: If you maintain multihomed BGP connections or failover L2 circuits via secondary paths, please verify your routing policies and path prepending prior to 22:00 CEST on Friday to ensure seamless traffic failover.
